In all the years I been working out, I have only gotten injured 3 times. One time I was doing straight leg dead lifts, one time I was doing bench press, and one time it was when I ran 20 miles preparing for the Chicago Marathon. In those three times that I got injured, I had not stretched on a weekly basis, and I was not doing my weekly P90X yoga. My body was taking a beating with tough P90X, Insanity, and running workouts, and I wasn’t doing anything to help my body recover. I know that Yoga plays a huge role in preventing injuries, as well as providing many other benefits. Learn from my mistakes and go do some Yoga so you don’t get injured. Work, school, and life can be stressful at times. By doing yoga once a week you can relax and release some of that stress. You will feel a whole lot better and more relaxed to continue with your week.
If you workout regularly, then you are putting your muscles though a lot of stress. Putting your muscles though stress is a good thing, but you also want to make sure you relax the muscles. Doing yoga is a great way of relaxing your muscles. If you are injured, yoga will help you recover from those injuries as well.
When you do yoga you learn to take deep and slower breaths, and this increases your lung capacity. By increasing your lung capacity, it will also help you in your cardiovascular activities. This will also improve your endurance in all your other workouts.
As we get older, our flexibility decreases if we don’t continue to work on it. Being flexible is very important for your health. If you are flexible it will help you with anything you do in your daily life.
If you think yoga is easy, you obviously never done it before. Yoga is one of the most difficult workouts to do because you need to hold poses for a certain amount of time. Some of the yoga poses are very difficult and require a lot of strength. The more yoga you do, the stronger you will get with time.
Yoga can help you lose weight and get rid of the fat. You are going to be burning some really good calories in each yoga session. I know some people that are in great shape by just doing yoga.

P.S. If you think P90X yoga is too long for you, then just do all the yoga poses at the first part of the DVD, then fast forward to the relaxation part in the end. If you make that modification your workout will be less than 1 hour long.
