If you knew you couldn’t fail, what would you do?
What’s keeping you from doing those things you want to accomplish?

In my last blog I gave you 5 specific things that you can do in order to make this year your most successful year ever, and in this blog I will give you the next 5 specific things you can do. These tips can be applied whether you are an entrepreneur or an employee. First thing you must understand is that nothing in life becomes dynamic until it becomes specific. If you want to increase your income and become better at what you do then you must do the following things:

6. You must put up reminders.

When you first write a goal you are really excited and work hard at it for a couple of days or maybe weeks, but what happens when the excitement dies down? Soon you will get a ton of distractions that will take your eyes off your goals and you will not be able to accomplish it. This is why reminders are very important. You need to be reminded every single day of your goals and what you really want to accomplish. By reminding yourself every single day of your goals, you will be able to maintain focused and will be more likely to accomplish your goals. Eliminate any kind of distractions that are not getting you closer to your goal. Some of the distractions can be the following: TV, Facebook, Internet, texting, etc, etc.

7. You must set up small doable goals.

Always break down a big goal into smaller doable goals that you can do everyday. For example, if your goal is to read a book that’s 500 pages long, then don’t try to read the whole book in a week. Instead break it down into smaller doable goals. You can break it down into 10 pages a day and then you can get the book done in 50 days. By accomplishing a small goal every single day, you will start to gain momentum and you will feel great about yourself. 10 pages a day doesn’t seem like much, but it’s a whole lot better than doing nothing. Remember that “Inch by inch life’s a cinch. Yard by yard life is hard.” John Bytheway

8.  You must have faith.

These days are so easy to lose faith because pretty much everywhere you see; there’s always something negative going on. Don’t let all that negativity affect your life and faith. Instead just don’t expose yourself to the negativity out there. Stop watching the news because there’s never any good on them anyway. Stop associating yourself with negative people that want to always bring you down. Have faith that you will be able to accomplish whatever you set your mind to. Listen to daily positive audiobooks to keep you motivated and focused. Read 10 pages of a good self-development book so that you are always learning. Always associate with people that are driven, motivated, and determined. Those people will always bring you up and help you keep having faith in reaching your goals.

9. You must have diligence.

Work hard in all areas of your life and always strive to be the best you can be. By becoming diligent in all areas of your life, you will build up a great reputation. This is going to be the difference that’s going to make you stand out in the crowd. It will help you get recommended to others and everyone will want to work with you. This is also going to make you feel proud of your hard work. Remember that nobody wants to work with someone who doesn’t have diligence. So always do your best in all areas of your life and continue to work hard so you can do an even better job next time.

10. You must have a balanced life.

You must always have balance in your life because without having balance, you will not be happy. You can be the most successful person in business, but if your family and social life is the worst then there’s no point. Always make time for all aspects of your life. Remember that your family is always number one. Spend real quality time with them when you are off work. This will keep you and your family members happy. Always enjoy the time you spend with them. When it’s time to work, focus 100% on work and when it’s family time focus 100% on them. Also make time to spend time with your friends; they are the ones that are always supporting you along the way. Don’t make life just be all about work because if you do that, then in the end success will not make you happy.  Remember that being happy and having balance in all areas of your life is what having true success should be all about.
